Lessons are taught by qualified instructors on state of the art equipment. Stable boards and lightweight sails; provide a great first experience. Our lessons are $95.00 for a 1-1/2 hour private lesson. The lesson includes a land lesson, a demo by the instructor, and an hour of on-the-water instruction with the instructor.

Mike Biffel- Watersports extraordinaire and Marsh Creek guru. Captain Mike has a lifetime of experience with anything water…and anything Marsh Creek. Owner and operator of Marsh Creek Boat Rental of Downingtown, PA and Big Dawg Sportfishing in Marathon, Florida Keys, Mike’s extensive knowledge and friendly personality is sure to answer any questions about watersports and fishing.
Jacques Indekeu- Head Sailing/Windsurfing Instructor and Camp Co-Coordinator. Jacques, aka “Jac-ques” and “Cousteau,” has seen it all when it comes to wind-powered fun. Through an enthusiastic attitude, extensive training, and world of knowledge - from competitive sailboat racing to advanced windsurfing and kiteboarding - Jacques can take you to the next level in your sailing or windsurfing capabilities, or start from the basics.
Mikey Biffel- Assistant Sailing/Windsurfing Instructor and Camp Co-coordinator. An avid watersports enthusiast, Mikey is well on his way to following in his father’s footsteps.
Ryan Colley- Assistant Sailing/Windsurfing Instructor. Along with teaching sailing lessons of all kinds, Ryan also specializes in kayak lessons and giving tours on Marsh Creek’s very own tour boat. Ryan is a history major and has an extensive knowledge of Marsh Creek and the surrounding area.
Eric Marino- Pro sailing camp counselor and instructor. As a veteran boat renter, instructor, and all around boat enthusiast, Eric brings a lot of experience to watersports instruction here at Marsh Creek. Eric attends the University of Colorado but enjoys his summers here at Marsh Creek while sailing and windsurfing.
Jamie Shankweiler- Sailing/Windsurfing Instructor and Inventory Specialist. Whether it’s learning about our wide selection of used kayaks or checking out the latest in windsurfing technology, Jamie is the man to see. With a lifetime of advanced on the water experience, sailing and windsurfing instruction is one of his many specialties. Additionally Jamie manages Valley Forge Bike Rental. Valley Forge Bikes is a must for those land lubbers… or for anyone!
