While you don’t need to be an expert, a basic level of kayaking experience is required to enjoy this activity. We’ll take plenty of breaks to soak in the views, but we do maintain a consistent pace together!

Yes, dress to get wet! The bottom half of your body will most likely get wet while getting in and out of the kayak. Further, dress in warm layers! The lake cools off at night, do not expect it to be as hot as it was during that day. Wear water shoes or shoes that can get wet.

Yes! You need to be comfortable in the water in order to join a Sunset Kayak Tour. We will be wearing life jackets throughout the entire tour, but for safety reasons we ask that everyone be competent swimmers.

Sunset Kayak Tours are 90 minutes (1.5 hours). This does not include the time needed beforehand and afterwards to distribute life jackets, paddles, and get the group in and out their kayaks.

Since a reservation guarantees a space at an event or class, we often have to turn others away. Thus, cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the event in order to receive a full refund. To cover our costs, any cancellations made within 72 hours before the event will not receive a refund, and will be charged the full amount. Any cancellation requests after the event has passed will not be issued a refund, and will be charged the full amount.

If we make a cancellation due to adverse weather or other circumstances and you cannot make the rescheduled date, we will refund you the entire amount. Please be aware that our refund policy remains the same for rescheduled events as written above. Also keep in mind that weather cancellations are made only by our staff.

If you are approved for a refund, the amount will be credited to the same card used for the original purchase. This will be reflected on your bank statement in about 10 business days from the date the refund is issued.
