Pictured here is our very own sailing and windsurfing instuctor, Jacques Indekeu, featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer  on 10/24/2007.  When Jacques isn’t teaching or working at the boat rental and the wind is good, chances are he’s out enjoying a soul windsurfing session in the breeze.

“6th Annual Wooden Boom Classic” Windsurfing Regatta

On yet another gorgeous day at Marsh Creek Lake, local windsurfers gathered to compete in the 6th Annual Wooden Boom Classic windsurfing regatta.  Hosted by the Rile Family, the event has been a fun-filled and family friendly event at the lake.  The retro-like classic windsurfers with a wooden boom provide and interesting challenge and loads of fun!  With marginal conditions, this year’s regatta also included a “stand-up paddle board” race.  Requiring great balance, strength, and endurance, the paddle board race really topped of the day’s festivities.  Awards, sweets, and t-shirts were also distributed at the end of the race for competitors and friends alike.
