Hi everyone, fall colors have hit the lake which means Boat Rentals will soon be winding down. Remember that our hours in October are Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am until 6 pm weather permitting. While our last day of operation is not set yet, all storage kayaks should be picked up the weekend of the 15th and 16th unless you plan to store over the winter. After the weekend of the 15th and 16th we will evaluate the weather and post additional information on the website. Remember that we extended the expiration date on ANY Groupon or Living Social voucher purchased during the 2011 season. You may use these coupons on any weekend that we are open for the remainder of this season. And don’t forget to book a Lake tour while the leaves are changing color!

Wooden Boom Regatta

Join us Sunday September 11th, 2011 for the 10th Annual Wooden Boom Classic, the areas premier Windsurfing, Standup Paddling and Waterman’s Festival. Marsh Creek Watersports invites you to join in a day of Windsurfing One Design and Stand Up Paddle Racing. Join the competitive fun of sailing Original Windsurfers in a Regatta format as well as the sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding with short and long distance races. Join us for the afternoon presentation of the “Paul and Mary Pinkney Cup.” Download the official race flyer here!

Registration and Entry Information

Event Registration includes t-shirt, lunch, BBQ Dinner, raffle prizes and awards. Equipment will also be available and can be reserved on a first-come basis. Awards will be presented for “best of show” vintage equipment, and any generation of windsurfing equipment is invited to participate. Special guest Ted Schweitzer youngest son of Hoyle and Diane Schweitzer will be with us to show off the new boards hes imported from Austrailia.

Accommodations

Camping, Hotels, and local hosted accommodations can be arranged through the Regatta Chair, Craig Rial

Paddle Boarding (SUP) – The new way to be on the water!

We were ahead of the curve and still riding the wave of the Stand-Up Paddling craze! We currently have over 20 boards new and used for all skill levels and styles of SUP. We can’t stress enough how important it is to try before you buy, so come on down to the lake today to cool down, get fit, and have fun with SUP.

With hourly rentals for $25 and used boards starting at $599, SUP has never been so accessible and affordable!

Hey Everyone! It looks like its going to be a great 4th of July weekend at Marsh Creek Boat Rental! We hope you all come out and spend some time on the water. Here are a few tips to make planning your Marsh Creek trip a breeze…

Rental rates for all our boats and hours can be found here. All of our rentals are on a first come, first serve basis. On holiday weekends, the best time to come to Marsh Creek Boat rental is in the morning, when the park is less crowded to reduce your chances of having to wait for the boat you would like to rent. If you are interested in taking any kind of lesson or taking a tour on our Lake Tour Boat, it is very helpful to us for you to let us know ahead of time. Also while you’re at the park, be sure to check out our full service snack bar and our watersports shop, with all your boating essentials!

If you are looking to beat the crowds of Marsh Creek but would still like to get out on the water or just would like a change of scenery, we have a new place for you to check out! We are very excited about our two new boat rentals at Green Lane Park in Montgomery County. At Hill Road Boat Rental on Green Lane Reservoir you can rent boats with electric motors, and single and double kayaks. The hours of this rental are Weekdays 9am-7pm and Weekends/Holidays 8 am-7pm. And at Deep Creek Lake Boat Rental we have single and double kayaks,canoes, and paddleboats available. It is open Weekends/Holidays 10am-7pm. First Day of Summer!

Happy first day of summer everyone! We are so excited for this summer at Marsh Creek Boat Rental and hope you are too! We are open 7 days a week and our hours are 9:00 to 7:00 on week days and 8:00 to 7:00 on weekends. Along with it being the first day of summer, today is also our first day of our Kid’s Sailing Camp. Space is still available in all of our sessions and information and registration forms can be found here. We also have our season pass program for the summer that can be used to make sure you spend plenty of time out on the water. Season passes are available for kayaks, fishing boats, sail boats, or our all-access pass, which allows you to take out any of our rental boats! More information and prices can be found here.

So if you are looking for fun summer activities for the entire family come down to Marsh Creek Lake for boating, fishing, hiking, and picnicking!

Cost:

$300 per child

$200 per additional sibling

$60 per day for single day campers

Windrider 17

Have you sailed a Windrider 17 yet? Windriders are large stable trimarans that are most importantly easy to sail. They can comfortably seat 4 adults and kids love them. Already know how to sail?
