Naish Paddleboard Demo Day, May 19th 2012

Kicking off our 2012 Paddleboard Demo series is Naish Paddleboards! Join us on Saturday May 19th, 2012 from 10am until 4pm in the Boat Rental area. Staff will be on-hand from both Naish and Marsh Creek Watersports to answer all of your paddleboarding questions. First time paddlers are encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is not required and there is no charge for this event.

Wooden Boom Regatta September 9, 2012

Join us Sunday September 9th, 2012 for the 11th Annual Wooden Boom Classic, the areas premier Windsurfing, Standup Paddling and Waterman’s Festival. Marsh Creek Watersports invites you to join in a day of Windsurfing One Design and Stand Up Paddle Racing. Join the competitive fun of sailing Original Windsurfers in a Regatta format as well as the sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding with short and long distance races. Join us for the afternoon presentation of the “Paul and Mary Pinkney Cup.”

Registration and Entry Information

Event Registration includes t-shirt, lunch, BBQ Dinner, raffle prizes and awards. Equipment will also be available and can be reserved on a first-come basis. Awards will be presented for “best of show” vintage equipment, and any generation of windsurfing equipment is invited to participate. Special guest Ted Schweitzer youngest son of Hoyle and Diane Schweitzer will be with us to show off the new boards hes imported from Australia.

Hi everyone! Its that time of year when we start looking for that select few to come work with us at Marsh Creek. Every year we get 100-300 applicants for just a handful of positions. So how do you get in you ask? Easy. Step one is download an application. Step two, bring the application to the Boat Rental during posted hours and ask to speak with a manager. Step three… Impress us. With that many applicants you need to make yourself stand out. Know people that work at the park already? Then drop some names! A good recommendation will always help! Hey parents!, are you wondering how to help your child get a job at Marsh Creek?!?! Well all you have to do is let them apply on their own! We want to see applicants who can speak on their own and show us what they have to offer. Ok applicants, come to the Boat Rental and impress us and leave your parents in the car! -Bo

To make room for the new kayak fleet we are selling three of our popular Plamlico 120′s. They are being sold for $499 and include a daytrpper paddle. All three have water-tight storage and adjustable foot pedals! These boats won’t last long, so stop down or give us a call.

Happy Spring everyone! We have been taking advantage of the good weather and have been getting the shop ready for the upcoming 2012 season. We have taken delivery of our NSP and Bic paddleboards and have all shapes, sizes and prices. To make some room we have just a few used boards leftover and few used kayaks left.

As we unpack more equipment we will add kayaks to the list. The used paddleboard list is complete and we will mark them off as we sell through them. We will post the new SUP arrivals and get some pictures up ASAP. If you have not been down in a while, stop by and check out the new paddleboards with new arrivals daily!

Opening Day 2012

Hey everyone! Spring seems to be upon us so we are getting things rolling at the Boat Rental and Marsh Creek Watersports Shop. We will begin operations on weekends from 10am until 5pm weather permitting. If there is ever a question of the weather, check our web page or Facebook. Make sure you are geared up to try Paddleboarding this season. Its fun and easy and we will be offering a ton of opportunities for first timers to get out there with no pressure. We have some Demo dates to announce in the upcoming weeks as well as some shop specials on new and demo board packages. Its going to be an exciting year so make sure you check in frequently to everything going on at “the Creek.”

Hi everyone, fall colors have hit the lake which means Boat Rentals will soon be winding down. Remember that our hours in October are Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am until 6 pm weather permitting. While our last day of operation is not set yet, all storage kayaks should be picked up the weekend of the 15th and 16th unless you plan to store over the winter. After the weekend of the 15th and 16th we will evaluate the weather and post additional information on the website. Remember that we extended the expiration date on ANY Groupon or Living Social voucher purchased during the 2011 season. You may use these coupons on any weekend that we are open for the remainder of this season. And don’t forget to book a Lake tour while the leaves are changing color!
